KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Get ready to put on your costume and add some candy to your collection.

Here are 10 family-friendly “Trunk-or-Treat” events to celebrate Halloween in and around the Kansas City metro.

Lakeside Nature Center invites the public to drive through the parking lot, stop at the trunks for treats, receive a bag with educational items and meet their animal ambassadors.

Spooky Season in Kansas City: Haunted houses & historic haunts

When: Sunday, Oct. 12

📍4701 E Gregory Blvd, Kansas City, MO

Head to the Mr. and Mrs. F.L. Schlage Library’s parking lot, where decorated cars will give out candy to trick-or-treaters. Costumes are encouraged!

When: Saturday, Oct.18

📍4051 West Drive, Kansas City, KS

“Truck or Treat” is bringing a mix of trucks and treats to Lenexa. Kids can watch pumpkins get smashed and see monster trucks up close while trick-or-treating.

When: Saturday, Oct. 18

📍7700 Cottonwood St, Lenexa, KS

This free Trunk-or-Treat at Advent Lutheran Church and Preschool is open to the entire community and encourages you to bring your family members decked out in your favorite costume to join the fun.

📍11800 W 151st St, Olathe, KS

Kansas City Automotive is hosting a family-friendly event to help you tap into your Halloween excitement! By registering your vehicle and bringing candy, you’ll get to park in the main parking lot for the event.

📍15095 West 116th Olathe, KS

Stop in at the JCPRD JamBOOree for a fun Halloween-themed family night. Dress in your best costume and enjoy trick-or-treating on the soccer field. Nonperishable food donations are encouraged but not required, and can be dropped off at the door.

📍551 New Century Pkwy, New Century, KS

The Turner Recreation Commission is hosting a free Spooktacular Trunk-or-Treat in their parking lot. This family-centered event encourages you to dress up and enjoy a night filled with sweet treats and spooky fun.

📍831 S 55th St, Kansas City, KS

Olathe Spooktober Trick-or-Treat Trail will be hosted at Stagecoach Park this year. Along the trail, kids can stop at candy stations with tricks, treats and other surprises. Bring your own trick-or-treat bag to collect your candy!

📍1205 E. Kansas City Rd, Olathe, KS

The Trunk or Treat Street Festival hosted by Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kansas City is back for its 18th year. The festival, presented by Spire, is excited to host this event free of charge for families and the KC community.

Bring your kids dressed in their favorite Halloween costume, and they will get to “trunk or treat” from decorated themed tables inside the church building. Make sure to RSVP so they know how much candy to provide!
