Michael Peterson, a 22-year-old from Millville, was killed in a motorcycle crash near Frankford on the afternoon of Sept. 18, according to Delaware State Police.
At about 4:15 p.m., a Yamaha YZF motorcycle and two other mini-motorcycles were riding along Camp Barnes Road past Estuary Drive. Police said Peterson, driving the Yamaha, tried to pass the two other mini-motorcycles on a double-yellow line. He then lost control and left the road, hit a traffic sign and got ejected from the bike, according to police.
Peterson, who was wearing a full-face helmet, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The road was closed for about two and a half hours.
