Five police officers were shot while serving a warrant on Wednesday in York County, PA — with reports indicating that three of the officers are in grave condition.
According to authorities, a 911 call came in from North Codorus Township in York County at 2:10 p.m. ET. NBC News — which cited three sources familiar with the matter — reports that the shooting took place while the officers were serving a warrant. The NBC News report added that three officers from the Northern York Regional Police Department are in grave condition, while another is in critical condition. According to NBC, the alleged suspect is dead from a self-inflicted gun shot.

CNN and the York Daily Record report that a local hospital is treating two people — both in serious condition.
Governor Josh Shapiro (D-PA) said, in a post on X, that he is en route to the scene.
“I’ve been briefed on the situation involving law enforcement in York County, and am on my way there now,” Shapiro said. “We ask those in the area to please follow the directions of local law enforcement and @PAStatePolice.”
