A man has been arrested following the discovery of human remains in Oregon last month.
On Monday, Aug. 25, the City of The Dalles Police Department revealed in a press release that 59-year–old Richard Michael “Mike” Robinson of The Dalles, Ore., had been arrested in Colorado and identified as “a person of interest.”
This came after the remains of He “Kiki” Meihong were found inside a storage box in “a storage unit on West 6th Street in The Dalles, Ore.,” on July 29.
While the release stated she was 20 years old, a missing person post by officials noted that she was 39.
“Human remains were located and transported to the Oregon Medical Examiner’s office in Clackamas for autopsy and identification,” authorities said.
They added that Meihong “was a resident of the Mid-Columbia area and originally from China. Her next of kin have been informed of her death.”
