911 lines down across Mississippi, fix underway

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Hinds County Sheriff Tyree Jones said 911 and administration lines are down across Mississippi.

“This has impacted calls and emergency responses. Officials are working with AT&T to identify and correct the problem. Will continue to update and provide a contingency plan,” said Jones.

According to the City of Petal, a fiber line was cut.

The following agencies have provided updated contact numbers or emails:
