The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, has lauded the personnel of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Base Kainji for their exceptional dedication and professionalism in the service of the nation.
The commendation was delivered on Tuesday during an all-ranks durbar with personnel of the co-located NAF units in Kainji. Air Marshal Abubakar, who was represented by the Chief of Training and Operations (CTOP), Air Vice Marshal Francis Edosa, praised the personnel for their unwavering commitment to national security.
In a statement issued by the NAF on Thursday, the CAS was quoted as saying: “Your professionalism and resilience have strengthened the NAF’s operational effectiveness across various theatres.”
Emphasising the core values of the service, Air Marshal Abubakar reminded the personnel that loyalty to the Service, superiors, and the nation remains a sacred duty that unites the Force and forms the foundation of military effectiveness.
The Air Officer Commanding, Air Training Command, Air Vice Marshal Ahmed Dari, also commended NAF Base Kainji for its pivotal role in sustaining the Service’s successes in the ongoing fight against insurgency and banditry.
Addressing the gathering, the CAS highlighted the critical role the personnel play in strengthening the NAF’s operational capabilities.
He stated that their resilience has been instrumental in the Force’s successes across multiple theatres of operation.
The durbar served as a platform for direct engagement, allowing personnel to discuss the prevailing operational situation and share concerns and suggestions to enhance mission outcomes.
The visit reaffirmed the Chief of the Air Staff’s commitment to nurturing a highly disciplined, loyal, and combat-ready Force dedicated to the defence of Nigeria’s territorial integrity.
