The no-frills discount grocery chain Aldi is famous for low prices, no coupons, and a distinct lack of in-store delis, bakeries, pharmacies, loyalty programs or even background music.
More than 90% of its stock is private label, with names fans have come to look for such as Clancyâs, Simply Nature and Specially Selected.
Now, for the first time, Aldi will be branding all its products with its own name, either with a new namesake brand or with âan ALDI Originalâ on the label according to a Sept. 24 release.
Aldi announced the launch of name-branded private label merchandise for the first time Sept. 24, 2025.
âThe new look and feel of our products is the next step in our journey to modernize our simpler, quicker shopping experience. Now, itâs easier than ever for shoppers to instantly spot the value and quality only ALDI can deliver,â said Atty McGrath, who became CEO of ALDI on Sept. 1. âAfter nearly 50 years of setting the standard in private label, our updated packaging will give shoppers yet another reason to reach for our products first.â
The most well-known brands will keep their names with the Aldi endorsement added, the company said.
âOther items like âRed Bag Chickenâ will adopt shopper-given nicknames â a playful nod to show fans just how much ALDI values their opinion,â the release said.
