If you’re in need of a job for the holiday season, Amazon might be the answer.
The company announced plans to create 8,500 seasonal positions in New York to help with their holiday rush as part of a broader initiative to hire 250,000 employees nationwide.
Specifically, the company is looking to fill 1,600 seasonal jobs in Rochester as well as 100 roles at their rural delivery stations in Conklin and Granville, according to an Amazon spokesperson.
“We find that our seasonal roles are really popular — often filling up within minutes of being posted — because they meet different needs for so many different people,” an Oct. 13 news release said. “Seasonal roles offer great pay, flexible schedules, and the chance to be a part of a team that makes a real difference during the holidays.”
