Animal Humane New Mexico celebrates 60 years
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Sixty years of wagging tails, purrs, and second chances. Animal Humane New Mexico is celebrating its 60th anniversary, a milestone that marks decades of finding homes for pets and hope for families.

Since 1965, the nonprofit has helped more than 3,000 cats and dogs annually. Staff say their mission has always been fueled by New Mexicans hwo open their hearts and homes. “We’re just thrilled to be celebrating 60 years of our life-saving mission. We have lots of vendors here, a DJ, and of course, adoptable dogs,” said Executive Director Val Wilson.
Animal Humane offers not just shelter, but also veterinary care, training, and community programs.
