Does a video authentically capture Donald Trump saying planned Super Bowl 2026 half-time performer Bad Bunny is from “the Mexican City of Puerto Rico” ? No, that’s not true: The audio was lifted from a Trump impressionist’s YouTube video and plays while the person in the TikTok video reacts to what is said. There is no publicly available report that Trump said it.

The audio was part of an October 1, 2025 TikTok video (archived here) posted on the@saintn0body account. In the voice-over, a Trump-like voice opposes Bad Bunny’s announced performance at the 2026 SuperBowl and says The on-screen titles read: “POV: Your President doesn’t understand where Puerto Rico is nor that it’s a USA commonwealth”. The voice-over is a Trump-like voice that at one point says:

… This is a person from the Mexican city of Puerto Rico. OK, And, already I have a problem with that. OK? It’s the American Super Bowl where we crown a world champion…

So, it was just brought to my attention in an urgent briefing that the Super Bowl, which is of course a very sacred tradition in our country, probably the most watched thing on TV, except for when I speak, of course.

But I was just informed that in one of the most offensive and radical left and anti-Christian, also, don’t forget that, moments in our country, the halftime show of our next Super Bowl will be done by Bad, I can’t believe I’m saying this, Bad Bunny.

OK, now what I’ve been, told we have Intel briefings, This is a person from the Mexican city of Puerto Rico. OK, And, already I have a problem with that. OK? It’s the American Super Bowl where we crown a world champion And.

Just in case Cauvin was merely parroting something Trump actually said, Lead Stories used key words to query the Google News index of thousands of news sites. We found (archived here) no reporting on such a gaffe, which would have been widely reported. Using the same key words to search the YahooNews index of its publishing partners and news services, Lead Stories found (archived here) only 2024 reports of a Bad Bunny controversy, but no reporting that Trump had called Puerto Rico a city in Mexico.
