A former Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, and the current Governor, Ahmed Ododo, visited former Governor Capt. Idris Wada at his residence to discuss the state’s progress.
According to a statement by the State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Kingsley Fanwo, on Sunday, the leaders engaged in productive talks centred on Kogi’s economic development and the importance of fostering unity among the state’s leadership.
Wada warmly welcomed the visit, describing it as a gesture of respect and an honour.
He expressed his full support for Ododo’s administration, saying, “Unity among leaders is vital for ensuring peace and advancing Kogi’s development.”
“I want to assure my unalloyed support for the administration of Ododo, because unity among leaders is crucial to the peace and progress of the state.
The commissioner added that both Ododo and Bello reaffirmed their commitment to inclusive governance, emphasising that the collective interest of the Kogi people will always take precedence over political differences.
Fanwo noted that the meeting reflects a growing consensus among leaders of the state to work together in advancing development and building a more united Kogi.
