A Louisiana cheer mom convicted of sexually abusing a teenager and other sex-related crimes involving teenagers was sentenced to 26 years in prison on Tuesday, Nov. 18.
On September 16, Leeann Yammarino, 44, pleaded no contest to two counts of carnal knowledge of a juvenile and two counts of indecent behavior with a juvenile.
Upon release, Yammarino must register as a sex offender.
According to WBRZ, Yammarino’s teen daughter asked Judge Keyojuan Gant-Turner to give her mother the maximum sentence on each charge. News 18 reports Yammarino was very involved in her daughter’s cheerleading team.
The case came to light in July 2024 after Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives were called to a residence and spoke to “four different juvenile parents” about Yammarino, according to an arrest warrant obtained by PEOPLE.
One of the parents told detectives that her 15-year-old son had sex with Yammarino in her vehicle sometime over the past few months.

“The 15-year-old also showed his mother an explicit photo of Leeann, which he stated Leeann sent to him over the social media platform of Snapchat,” according to the affidavit. “This photo depicted a white female lying in a bathtub from her belly button up to her facial area depicting Leeann’s face with both her breasts exposed along with Leeann’s face.”
At the residence, detectives spoke with three other male juveniles who alleged Leeann sent them “explicit nude photos and videos over the course of the past few months,” per the affidavit.
Detectives allegedly spoke to two more juveniles in August.
Both alleged they received “explicit photos and videos” of Yammarino, according to a second arrest warrant affidavit.
