Cops called to Celeste Rivas’ home 3 times in a day prior to disappearance

Authorities were called nearly a dozen times over the course of 14 months to the California home of teenager Celeste Rivas Hernandez, whose dismembered and decomposing remains were discovered in singer D4vd’s impounded Tesla early last month.

Those calls, between February 2024 and April 2025, included three times in a single day prior to the teen’s disappearance, according to police records obtained by TMZ.

Riverside County Sheriff’s deputies reportedly responded to the family’s Lake Elsinore home 11 times during that period, namely for “minor crime investigation,” though one of those calls was said to be for “suspicious circumstances.”

The last-known footage of Rivas Hernandez, then 13, was recorded on March 19, 2024 — the same day authorities responded to the residence three times. The surveillance footage, taken from a nearby liquor store, appears to show her running away from home for what authorities said was the second time.

Rivas allegedly first ran away two months earlier due to a “troubled home,” but she was brought back after police located her in Hollywood, law enforcement sources told TMZ.

Her second attempt to flee came just weeks before Rivas Hernandez was reported missing on April 5, 2024. One of the incidents in which the cops were called happened that same night.

Roughly a year and a half later, Rivas Hernandez’s remains were found on Sept. 8 at a tow yard in the Hollywood Hills, about 75 miles from Lake Elsinore. Her body was discovered inside a plastic bag in the trunk of the Tesla registered to D4vd, after the car had seemingly been abandoned and eventually impounded.

Los Angeles authorities said Monday that a cause of death has been “deferred” as it remains “unclear whether there is any criminal culpability beyond the concealment of her body.”

As for the relationship between Rivas Hernandez and D4vd, whose legal name is David Burke, LAPD Captain Scot M. Williams told People it would be “premature” for him to comment, though her mom told TMZ that her daughter had a boyfriend named David.

The 20-year-old, Queens-born “Romantic Homicide” singer is said to be cooperating with authorities.
