HEI Hotels & Resorts has revealed the completion of an extensive renovation programme of Courtland Grand Hotel, Trademark Collection by Wyndham.
The Courtland Grand Hotel is located at 165 Courtland St. NE in Atlanta and managed by HEI.
The refurbishment project covered the hotel’s 763 rooms and all public areas. It involved installation of new carpets throughout the premises, the refinishing of all hard furnishings with updated laminates, and fresh paint applied to hallways and public areas.
Guest rooms have been fitted with upgraded linens, technological features aimed at improving guest comfort, and new bed wraps, while some rooms also received new mattresses and box springs.
Amenities available to guests at the Courtland Grand Hotel include floor-to-ceiling windows in each room, complimentary Wi-Fi access, and a 24-hour fitness centre.
The hotel introduced a new in-house culinary team as part of the changes, with chef Shankle appointed to lead operations at Fandangle’s restaurant.
The dining venue has been redesigned to support the new kitchen team, which now offers Southern-inspired cuisine, American dishes, and international options.
Chef Reginald Shankle said: “We already have started conversations with regional growers to begin preparing our upcoming seasonal menu, and I am excited to bring delicious, locally sourced, farm-to-table goodness to guests and locals alike who will appreciate a true taste of Atlanta.”
Chef Shankle previously held executive roles at Culinary Culture Hub as well as positions at Marriott Norcross, Hilton Norcross, and Crowne Plaza Macon.
Courtland Grand Hotel director of sales and marketing Marilyn Yelle said: “From our refinished lobby to our updated restaurant to improved guest rooms, the renovation truly transformed the Courtland Grand Hotel into a stunning oasis in downtown Atlanta, one that will appeal to discerning group, business and leisure travellers alike.
“Furthermore, we have added the culinary talents of Chef Reginald Shankle, a southern cuisine visionary. Again and again, our guests told us they were looking for a unique experience beyond the confines of a traditional, ‘big box’ hotel, and we believe these improvements will exceed expectations.”
The property also features an indoor heated pool and nearly 100,000ft² of event facilities.
These facilities encompass a 15,000ft² Grand Ballroom and over 55 meeting rooms that can accommodate a range of group sizes.
The hotel is positioned near major Atlanta venues such as Georgia World Congress Center, State Farm Arena, Centennial Olympic Park, and Mercedes Benz Stadium.
“Courtland Grand Hotel in Georgia completes full renovation” was originally created and published by Hotel Management Network, a GlobalData owned brand.
