A Ballinger man died in a one-vehicle crash Saturday in Runnels County, the Texas Department of Public Safety said in a media release Monday.
Anthony Miquel Leija, 33, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash about 7 miles west of Ballinger, the DPS said in the media release.
About 8:35 p.m. Saturday, Leija was driving west on County Road 287 in a 2009 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 pickup, the DPS said. The driver steered the pickup partly off the road toward the north for an unknown reason.
He overcorrected to the south to get back on the road, causing a broadside skid, the DPS said. The pickup traveled through the north barrow ditch, and he steered to the left to get control back.

That caused the truck to go into a broadside skid through an open field and overturn, the DPS said. The driver was ejected from the pickup because he was not wearing a safety belt.
Runnels County Justice of the Peace Lane Pinckney pronounced Leija dead on the crash scene, the DPS said.
