Over a year after a Florida man disappeared, police announced that they had found his truck in a remote wooded area.
“On August 27, 2024, Ian Rogers was reported missing to the Wakulla County Sheriff’s Office,” police wrote in a statement shared with PEOPLE. “He was last seen on August 26, 2024, at approximately 9:00 a.m., leaving a residence off Shadeville Road in Crawfordville, Florida.”
Police noted that he was driving a white 2019 Dodge Ram 2500 pickup truck, which was work-issued.
“Since that time, neither Ian Rogers nor the vehicle he was operating had been located — until Sunday, November 9, 2025, shortly before 1:00 p.m., when the Dodge Ram 2500 was discovered in a remote wooded area off Old Plank Road, south of Tram Road in Leon County,” they added.
Police said that they have since “processed the area” and that their investigation remains ongoing.
In a missing persons bulletin from last year, the sheriff’s office said that Rogers was last seen in Crawfordville “wearing a black hat, sunglasses, blue long sleeve dry shirt, white undershirt with a design, tan cargo shorts, and brown work boots.”
Additionally, they shared that Rogers, who was 39 years old when he went missing, has a tattoo on his lower right forearm.

This summer, on the one-year anniversary of his disappearance, Rogers’ mother Teresa opened up about her son — and the toll his absence has taken.
“Ian is funny, and he’s kind,” Teresa told ABC affiliate WTXL. “He can be a butthead. But he’s super talented. He just, he’s always cracking jokes. He’s just funny, and he’s fun to be around.”
His family said that he was last seen leaving his mother’s home in Crawfordville to go to work.
“It’s like having a treasure and someone stole it, and you don’t know where it is. You don’t know if it’s safe,” Teresa added.
In a separate interview with CBS affiliate WCTV, Teresa said that at the time he went missing, Rogers had just been promoted at work — and his son was just a day away from turning 10.
“He never would’ve missed that,” Teresa said.
She went on to encourage everybody in Wakulla County to keep their eyes open.
“Even if you don’t think it’s anything, it might be, you know,” she told WCTV. “And, I just want to find him. I want to find him, and that’s what people can do to help is just keep your eyes open, and if you see something, call. Please.”
Those with information on Rogers whereabouts are encouraged to call the Wakulla County Sheriff’s Office at 850-745-7100.
