The Chairmen of Isoko North and Isoko South Local Government Areas of Delta State, Godwin Ogorugba and Warri Ovuoke, have called for “a stronger and more united All Progressives Congress in the Isoko nation.”

The duo made the call at a meeting with the party executives of the Local Governments and Wards drawn from both Isoko North and South, held at the Isoko North LGA Secretariat in Ozoro, Delta State, on Thursday.

The forum unanimously passed a vote of confidence in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State, Godwin Ogorugba and Warri Ovuoke, respectively.

The motion for the re-election of President Tinubu and Governor Oborevwori for a second term in office, come 2027, was moved by Ede Hyacinth, the APC Delta South Senatorial Youth Leader, and seconded by Mr. David Onorioma, before it was unanimously adopted by the congregation.

Addressing the forum, Ogorugba, Chairman of Isoko North, emphasised that “since the APC is currently the ruling party at the federal, state, and local levels, party leaders, officials, and faithful must, as such, work together to strengthen the party and solidly promote the government in power”.

To this end, he stressed “the importance of unity and commitment among party officials in preparing for future elections, especially the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori in 2027”.

He also congratulated all APC officials on the extension of their tenures by the National Executive Committee, noting that “leadership comes only by the will of God”.

Speaking in the same vein, his Isoko South Local Government counterpart, Ovuoke, reiterated “the call for unity and active participation within the party structure”.
