Impressed by the efforts and achievements of the Chairman of Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, a diaspora Nigerian and the CEO
Canvas USA/NIGERIA of the Canvas Institute Bobby Digi Olisa has commended
her for what he called “the Dabiri-Erewa’s laudable initiatives.”
These initiatives, among others, he noted, have led to the rescue of stranded and abandoned Nigerians in diaspora.
Olisa, who is also the founder and executive director of the institute, further hailed the former federal lawmaker representing Ikorodu constituency through a press statement made available to Arewa PUNCH on Thursday.
He noted that “Abike Dabiri-Erewa has consistently demonstrated extraordinary dedication to the welfare of Nigerians, both at home and abroad.”
Olisa further explained that “her tireless efforts to rescue and support stranded and abandoned Nigerians knows no ethnic boundaries.”
He stressed, “She has facilitated countless rescue missions and consistently brought together Nigerians from all regions and backgrounds to find solutions and uplift the nation.
“Just recently, in a joint collaboration with myself, initiatives supported by Hon. Dabiri-Erewa empowered over 500 Nigerian youth from high school students to members of the National Youth Service Corps, representing every region and ethnic background.
“Working alongside her during this project allowed me to witness her remarkable capabilities, commitment, and leadership firsthand.”
According to the statement, Olisa noted that from advocacy for Nigerians stranded abroad to mobilising resources for urgent community needs, Hon. Dabiri-Erewa exemplifies leadership, courage, and compassion.
“She inspires emerging leaders to engage deeply with their communities, strive for excellence, and contribute meaningfully to nation-building.
“Her work is living proof that Nigeria and Nigerians are capable of greatness. Baseless attacks can not diminish the impact of such a visionary leader.
“I stand fully with Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa and urge all to recognise and celebrate her profound contributions to Nigeria, the diaspora, and humanity at large,” Hon. Olisa added in the statement.
