The first day of November will greet Connecticut residents with dry and brisk conditions, according to the National Weather Service.
The National Weather Service is forecasting high temperatures in the 50s on Saturday with mostly sunny skies and wind gusts likely ranging from 20 to 25 mph, though isolated gusts of up to 30 mph are possible. The winds will gradually relax in the late afternoon and end after sunset, as temperatures dip into the 30s, according to the National Weather Service.

These winds will be much weaker than what residents encountered Thursday and Friday. On Thursday night, remnants of Hurricane Melissa brought rainfall and gusty winds of up to 52 mph, cutting power to up to 4,500 customers at one point. The wind continued into Friday, prompting a wind advisory for the entire state that warned of gusts of up to 50 mph.
Sunny, dry and seasonably cool conditions in the upper 50s will continue Sunday, with much weaker winds than even Saturday, leading to a chilly Sunday night with lows falling into the mid-30s, the weather service said.
The weather service said mainly dry conditions are expected through the middle of next week, though a cold front may bring a few showers Monday night.
