AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) – After ten days of rides, food, and games, the Georgia-Carolina State Fair wrapped up Sunday.
Last year’s fair was canceled due to Hurricane Helene, but this year, families were happy to see the fun return. The fairgrounds were filled with laughter and joy, as well as the smells of funnel cakes and cotton candy as visitors made the most of the final day.
Visitors shared what they were most excited about—from thrilling rides and slides to sweet treats and a spin on the ferris wheel.
From roller coasters and giant slides to ferris wheel rides and sweet treats, the fairgrounds were full of excitement as people soaked up the final day.
And lemonade was a hit across the fairgrounds—and one local business made sure visitors stayed refreshed.
“I’m here with a couple other local vendors. It’s important to have local representation.,” said Sean Lathrop, owner of Mason’s Shaken Lemonade.
“We’ve got lemonade, limeade, coffee, hot chocolate, and sweet tea—and we can dress it up however you like.
As the fair packed up for the year, many said they’re already looking forward to next time.
If you’re not ready for the fair fun to end, the Columbia County Fair kicks off Thursday in Grovetown.
