A delegation representing the First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, paid a condolence visit to Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Ododo, on Thursday, over the death of his father, Alhaji Ahmed Momohsani.
The governor’s father died on August 18 and was buried the following day in accordance with Islamic rites.
Leading the delegation, Hajiya Laila Barau, wife of the Deputy Senate President, commiserated with the governor, his family, and the people of Kogi State, describing the late Alhaji Ododo’s passing as painful but noting that he lived a fulfilled life and left behind a worthy legacy.
The team included wives of state governors, ministers’ spouses, and top federal government officials.
They offered prayers for the repose of the late patriarch’s soul, asking Almighty Allah to forgive his shortcomings and grant him Aljannah Firdaus.
Members of the delegation included the wives of the governors of Yobe and Ebonyi states; spouses of the Ministers of Works, Agriculture and Food Security, State Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Minister of Defence, and Minister of Budget and National Planning.
