The National Weather Service issued a freeze warning for much of Northern Colorado starting Saturday, Oct. 18 at 10 p.m. through 8 a.m. Sunday.
“Sub-freezing temperatures in the 26 to 32 degree range expected,” the NWS warned in an alert. “Freezing temperatures could kill crops and other sensitive vegetation, and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing.”
Residents should take precautions with outdoor plants and pipes. For more information, read some prior Coloradoan reporting on both.
