Federal Road Safety Corps, Jos Zonal Command, has decorated its newly promoted personnel with new ranks.

The Zonal Commanding Officer, Mr Joseph Udoabba, decorated the personnel on Wednesday in Jos.

Udoabba, who congratulated the personnel on their elevation, said they were among those successful in the last promotion examination of the corps.

The ZCO, who tasked the personnel to renew their commitment and dedication to duty, urged them to work assiduously to ensure highway safety.

He explained that the promotion aimed at motivating personnel toward optimal performance.

“Promotion comes with more responsibilities, as such, you must be dedicated to duty and loyal to the mandate of the corps.

“We expect a renewed commitment to duty by working tirelessly to reduce crashes on our highways and uphold the corps’ life-saving mandate,” he urged.

Udoabba, who reiterated the corps’ commitment towards improving the welfare of all its personnel, called on Nigerians to cooperate with the corps towards ensuring safety on highways.

Speaking on behalf of the decorated personnel, Mr Sylvanus Philemon, who was promoted to the rank of an Assistant Corps Commander, promised to be more committed to duty and do more towards the success of the corps.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the newly promoted personnel included four Assistant Corps Commanders, 10 Chief Route Commanders, eight Superintendent Route Commanders, two Route Commanders, and four Deputy Route Commanders.
