The Governor of Gombe State and Chairman of the Northern States Governors’ Forum, Muhammadu Yahaya, has felicitated Vice President Kashim Shettima on the occasion of his 59th birthday.
In a congratulatory message issued on Tuesday in Gombe, Governor Yahaya described the Vice President as an inspiring leader whose journey through public service reflects courage, vision, and deep patriotism.
“On behalf of the government and good people of Gombe State, as well as the Northern States Governors’ Forum, I extend my warmest felicitations to His Excellency, Senator Kashim Shettima, GCON, Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, on this special occasion of his 59th birthday,” the governor said.
He recalled Shettima’s impactful leadership as Governor of Borno State, his distinguished tenure in the Senate, and his current role as Vice President, noting that “through every chapter, he has consistently demonstrated the rare qualities of courage, vision, and a deep-seated love for Nigeria.”
According to Governor Yahaya, the Vice President’s “intellectual depth, humility, and ability to lead with both strength and empathy continue to serve as a model for leaders across the country.”
While joining family, friends, and associates of the Vice President in celebrating the milestone, the governor prayed for Shettima’s continued good health and greater wisdom.
“On this momentous day, I join his family, friends, and well-wishers across the country in celebrating his life, leadership, and uncommon patriotism. May Almighty Allah continue to bless him with good health, greater wisdom, and the strength to keep serving Nigeria and humanity with distinction,” he added.
Born on September 2, 1966, Kashim Shettima Mustapha is the 15th and current vice president of Nigeria.
He previously served as senator for Borno Central from 2019 to 2023, and as the governor of Borno State from 2011 to 2019.
