“No Kings” protests are today, Saturday, Oct. 18, 2025, across New Jersey, with planned marches in NYC’s Father Duffy Square and in Philadelphia, backed by organizers 50501 and Indivisible who have rallied Americans to fight against President Donald Trump’s actions.
Over 2,500 “No Kings Day” demonstrations are expected to draw millions in what could amount to “the largest single day protest in modern American history,” organizers told USA TODAY. Protesters wearing yellow to symbolize pro-democracy and nonviolence resistance on “No Kings” Day today will flood New Jersey streets in areas across the state including Morristown, Trenton, Newark, Princeton, and along the Jersey Shore.

Over 2,500 “No Kings” protests, rallies and demonstrations are planned across the nation today, Saturday, Oct. 18, 2025, with protesters taking a stand against President Donald Trump and his administration’s “abuses of power, cruelty and corruption.” Organizers like 50501 and Indivisible say on the No Kings website they are rallying against several issues that they say Trump has doubled down on since June:

What is ‘No Kings’?
The name “No Kings” comes from the organizers’ belief that President Donald Trump is ruling the country as a monarch, rather than what a leader of a democracy. Organizers say they “won’t back down against chaos, corruption, and cruelty.”
On June 14, millions of protesters gathered for “No Kings” anti-Trump demonstrations, on the day of a massive military parade in Washington, D.C. to celebrate the Army’s birthday. The lavish affair coincided with Trump’s 79th birthday.
Why yellow for No Kings Day?
“No Kings” protesters are wearing yellow today, Saturday, Oct. 18, 2025, to show a collection of strength and unity, akin to pro-democracy movements in history, organizers said,
In Hong Kong, protesters carried yellow umbrellas in an act of protest; in Asia, yellow ribbons became emblems of hope, accountability and systemic reform; and in Eastern Ukraine, the “Yellow Ribbon” movement reclaimed the color as a signal of resistance, organizers write in a document explaining the color choice.

‘No Kings’ protest NYC; Where is Father Duffy Square?
One of the biggest “No Kings” protests today, Saturday, Oct. 18, 2025, starts at 11 a.m. ET at Father Duffy Square in New York City, located on West 47th St. and Broadway. Organizers describe it as a march, not a rally, with attendees urged to use the subway and stop between 47th and 50th streets.
Father Duffy Square, or simply Duffy Square, is the northern triangle of Times Square in Manhattan, bound by 45th and 47th streets, Broadway and Seventh Avenue.
‘No Kings’ protest Philadelphia
A “No Kings” protest in Philadelphia today, Saturday, Oct. 18, is set to kick off at 12 p.m. (noon) with a rally at Philadelphia City Hall, at 1400 John F. Kennedy Blvd., and a march to Independence Mall.
