Diana Ross named godmother of Royal Caribbeanâs Star of the Seas
âThe worldâs best family vacation is about to take the stage â and itâs getting a global music icon to set the tone,â Royal Caribbean said as it introduced Diana Ross as the Star of the Seasâ godmother.
âHer rich legacy of music and fashion, along with her deep love of family, makes her the perfect choice for this honor. Because a vacation this big â and a ship this monumental â deserves a godmother who owns the spotlight.â
Ross will participate in the naming ceremony for Star of the Seas during an event in the shipâs AquaTheater on Aug. 20 while the ship is docked at Port Canaveral.
âSailabrationâ taking place for Star of the Seas at Jetty Park
A STAR-studded Sailabration is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 16, at Jetty Park as Star of the Seas heads out of Port Canaveral.
The event starts at 3:30 p.m. and will feature a live DJ, food trucks and ice cream, along with giveaways.
