The Independent National Electoral Commission has opened its online portal for the accreditation of journalists and media organisations wishing to cover the November 8, 2025, Anambra State governorship election.
In a statement issued on Monday, the commission’s Secretary, Rose Oriaran-Anthony, said applications must be submitted via the accreditation portal, https://imap.inecnigeria.org.
According to her, the portal, which opened on September 1, will close by midnight on Friday, October 24, 2025.
She stressed that late submissions would not be entertained as the system would automatically shut down once the deadline elapsed.
The statement read, “The Independent National Electoral Commission has commenced online accreditation for journalists and media organisations intending to cover the Anambra State governorship election scheduled to hold on Saturday, 8th November, 2025.
“Interested media organisations wishing to deploy journalists for coverage are hereby expected to apply via https://imap.inecnigeria.org. The portal opens on Monday, 1st September, 2025, and will close on Friday, 24th October, 2025.
“Late submission shall not be entertained as the portal will automatically shut down at 12:00 am (midnight) on Friday, 24th October, 2025. For further enquiries, please contact: 07088844564 & 08032861058.”
