The Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria has praised Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, for approving the release of salaries previously withheld from judiciary workers in the state.
In a letter of appreciation signed by JUSUN’s National President on Wednesday, Marwan Adamu, the union described the governor’s action as a clear demonstration of empathy, fairness, and responsive leadership.
The letter stated that the move has brought significant relief to members while restoring confidence in the state government’s commitment to workers’ welfare.
The letter reads, “This is to commend the Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, for approving the release of withheld salaries owed to judiciary workers in the state.
“This gesture has not only brought great relief to us but has also rekindled our trust and confidence in your leadership’s commitment to the welfare of staff.
“By addressing this long-standing challenge, you have demonstrated empathy, fairness, and responsiveness, qualities which will continue to inspire greater dedication and productivity in service delivery.”
JUSUN noted that the governor’s intervention highlights a deliberate effort to prioritise the well-being of judiciary staff and strengthen faith in government institutions.
The union also assured Okpebholo of its loyalty and pledged continued support for his administration’s reforms.
The union emphasised that the release of the withheld salaries is not just a financial settlement but a symbolic step towards reinforcing industrial harmony and improving service delivery in the judiciary.
