Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris, has donated six operational vehicles to the state’s Zakkat and Hisbah Boards to enhance their efficiency in promoting moral values and good governance.
The donation was part of ongoing reforms by the Idris-led administration aimed at strengthening governance structures and ensuring moral and social order in the state.
Presenting the vehicles on Monday in Birnin Kebbi, Idris said the gesture was part of his administration’s commitment to supporting critical institutions to foster discipline, morality, and community development across the state.
“The present administration is determined to give the people of Kebbi State a sense of belonging and direction.
“The boards cannot carry out their operations effectively without mobility.
“These vehicles will therefore go a long way in assisting them to perform their duties diligently,” he said.
The governor urged the boards to ensure the judicious use of the vehicles, stressing that the government would continue to provide the necessary tools for institutions to discharge their mandates effectively.
Speaking on behalf of the benefiting agencies, the Commissioner for Religious Affairs, Sani Aliyu, thanked the governor for the support, describing it as a demonstration of his commitment to the welfare of the people.
“We thank you for what you have been doing for us. May Almighty Allah guide you with wisdom in piloting the affairs of the state”, Aliyu prayed.
