Sept. 25 (UPI) — Firefighters in Kentucky came to the rescue of a horse that fell into a drainage culvert and was unable to climb back out.
The Berea Fire Department said on social media that rescuers responded to a location on Blue Lick Road about 8 a.m. Wednesday.
“Once on scene, we found a horse that was stuck in a culvert,” the post said.
Firefighters worked together with the animal’s owner to extract the equine.
The horse was not injured and was returned to its owner’s custody.
“We love when calls have positive outcomes,” officials wrote.
