A member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, representing Apapa Constituency 2, Musibau Lawal, has empowered petty traders in his constituency with cash support and also launched a free health insurance scheme.
At the 10th Annual Constituency Stakeholders’ Engagement held at the Apapa-Iganmu Local Council Development Area Secretariat, the lawmaker presented N50,000 each to 50 traders to boost their businesses.
He also enrolled 300 constituents into the Lagos State Health Management Agency’s Ilera Eko scheme to enhance access to healthcare.
Lawal, who chairs the House Committee on Health, said the intervention reflects the Assembly’s focus on education, healthcare delivery and youth empowerment.
The lawmaker also disclosed that he had facilitated employment for over 100 constituents and provided relief for fire victims in the area.
