Germany-headquartered supermarket chain Lidl is continuing its American expansion by opening three new stores on the East Coast, with one store coming to the greater New Jersey region in the coming weeks.

Where is Lidl opening new stores?
According to food industry watcher Progressive Grocer, Lidl will open three new stores, including locations in Virginia and Atlanta.
Lidl’s third new store will open at 2570 Central Park Avenue in Yonkers, New York.
“Lidl US operates more than 180 stores across nine East Coast states and Washington, D.C.,” read Progressive Grocer’s report. “The Arlington, Virginia-based grocer is No. 90 on The PG 100, Progressive Grocer’s 2025 list of the top food and consumables retailers in North America.“
When will Lidl open the new store in Yonkers?
Progressive Grover confirmed the new Lidl in Yonkers will open Wednesday, Oct. 22.
“The official ribbon-cutting ceremonies for the three new Lidl locations will begin at 7:40 a.m.,” read Progressive Grocer’s website. “The stores will then all be open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.”
