Kendrick Taylor, 23, has been added to the Texas Department of Public Safety’s list of most wanted fugitives. He is wanted in connection with the Aug. 18 shooting death of Lawrence Brantley.
The warrant for his arrest stems from a Lubbock Metropolitan Special Crimes Unit investigation that began after patrol officers responding to a shots fired call close to 4 a.m. Aug. 18 at a home in the 1900 block of 44th Street found Brantley dead at the scene, a police news release states.
Witnesses told investigators with the Lubbock Metropolitan Special Crimes Unit that Brantley and about a dozen other people were at a house in the area when Brantley got into an argument with someone. The argument escalated into a fight that ended with gunshots, the release states.
The release did not disclose the subject of the argument.
