KUALA LUMPUR (Reuters) -Malaysia’s top court on Wednesday dismissed an appeal by the attorney-general to block jailed ex-premier Najib Razak from pursuing access to a royal document that he says would allow him to serve his sentence at home.
Najib, imprisoned since August 2022 for his role in the multi-billion dollar 1MDB scandal, is bidding to compel authorities to confirm the existence of and execute a royal order that he said was issued last year as part of a pardon by the then-king, entitling him to serve the remainder of his sentence at home.
