(WHTM) – State Rep. Malcolm Kenyatta (D-Philadelphia) walked from Philadelphia to Harrisburg this week as state lawmakers continue to negotiate the state budget and funding for SEPTA.
The budget delay has led to confusion for SEPTA riders as routes are canceled and re-established through the court system. SEPTA leadership has warned that a lack of funding could lead to cuts for the regional transit provider.
“I wish this was complicated, but it’s really not that complicated,” said Kenyatta on This Week in Pennsylvania. “House Democrats have passed five bipartisan bills, bipartisan bills, to fix this problem.”
