KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A man is dead after a shooting in Kansas City, Missouri Thursday evening, the Kansas City Police Department shared.
KCPD says that at around 6 p.m., officers were sent to a convenience store near 13th Street and Bannister Road on a reported shooting. When those officers arrived, they were directed to the victim, who was unresponsive on the ground next to the store.

Those officers then began attempting life-saving measures and called EMS, who declared the victim dead at the scene.
At this time, KCPD believes the victim had an interaction with an unknown suspect in the parking lot, which led to shots being fired.
KCPD did not share whether or not any suspects have been taken into custody. The victim is yet to be identified as well.
