Memorial service for Charlie Kirk to be live streamed. How, when to watch in Florida

A memorial service for Charlie Kirk will take place today, Sunday, Sept. 21.

The event, “Building a Legacy, Remembering Charlie Kirk,” will be live streamed from State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.

Kirk, 31, a conservative activist and co-founder of Turning Point USA, was fatally shot by a single bullet in what officials called a “political assassination” while speaking at  Utah Valley University on Sept. 10 as part of his “American Comeback Tour.”

When is Charlie Kirk’s memorial service?

“Building a Legacy, Remembering Charlie Kirk” is scheduled to start at 11 a.m. local time in Glendale, Arizona, — according to the fightforcharlie.com website. That would be 2 p.m. ET in Florida since most of Arizona does not observe daylight saving time.

Doors are tentatively scheduled to open at 8 a.m. Mountain Time, which is three hours behind Eastern Time. With the exception of the western Panhandle, which is in Central Time, most of Florida is in Eastern Time.

Where will Charlie Kirk’s memorial service be held?

Kirk’s memorial service will be held at State Farm Stadium, at Loop 101 and Glendale Avenue, in Glendale on Sunday, Sept. 21, according to Turning Point USA.

The stadium is home of the NFL’s Arizona Cardinals and can seat 63,400. Seating can be expanded to more than 73,000.

Security to be ‘TSA-level’ at Charlie Kirk memorial

“Expect TSA-level screening,” according to fightforcharlie.com.

“Please be advised that enhanced security measures are in place, which may result in longer wait times than usual. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

“Guests arriving with bags will NOT be permitted entry. You will be required to return the bag to your vehicle and rejoin the line from the end.”

Guests were asked to wear their Sunday best, especially red, white and blue.

How to watch live stream of Charlie Kirk’s memorial service

Yes, the memorial service will be live streamed.

USA Today will live stream the service on YouTube. The service is scheduled to start at 2 p.m. ET.

Fightforcharlie.com said the service also will be live streamed on Charlie Kirk’s Rumble account.

According to a post on X by Turning Point USA, people currently scheduled to speak at Kirk’s memorial service include:

President Trump calls Charlie Kirk ‘martyr for truth, freedom’

“He fought for liberty, democracy, justice and the American people,” Trump said in a pre-recorded message from the Oval Office posted to Truth Social late Sept. 10, the day Kirk was killed.

“He’s a martyr for truth and freedom and there’s never been anyone who was so respected by youth.”

Trump said he would award Kirk the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the highest civilian honor bestowed upon those who have exemplary contributions to the nation.

Charlie Kirk has been described as a conservative activist and co-founder of Turning Point USA who “died doing what he loved: fighting for truth, for faith, for family, and for America. His sacrifice will endure as a guiding light for generations,” according to fightforcharlie.com.

“Through Turning Point USA, Charlie ignited a fire in the hearts of tens of millions daily. He showed a generation that truth must never be silenced, that courage is contagious, and that freedom must be protected at all costs.”

Kirk has been credited for inspiring and rallying young conservatives to fight (and vote) for personal freedom against what he called dangerous liberal ideas, but he has also outraged millions with his views on abortion, civil rights, gender issues, gay marriage and gun rights.

Turning Point USA: ‘We will not stop until freedom prevails’

Turning Point USA, which was co-founded by Kirk in 2012, is a nonprofit organization that advocates for conservative politics on high school, college, and university campuses.

“Charlie Kirk poured his life into building a movement rooted in faith, freedom, and love of country. He believed America’s future depended on raising up a generation who would never surrender,” Turning Point USA said.

On Sept. 18, the conservative youth activist organization announced its board had unanimously elected Erika Kirk as its new CEO and chair of the board.

Who shot Charlie Kirk?

Tyler Robinson, 22, was arrested in connection with the shooting death of Charlie Kirk.

Robinson was charged with aggravated murder, felony discharge of a firearm, obstruction of justice, witness tampering, and the commission of a violent offense in the presence of a child, Utah County Attorney Jeff Gray said at a news conference.

Gray said he would seek the death penalty.
