LANSING, Mich. (WLNS)– The American Automobile Association (AAA) reports gas prices in Michigan are down 13 cents from last week. Michigan drivers are paying an average of $3.18 per gallon for regular unleaded.
AAA reports this price is 10 cents less than this time last month and 8 cents less than this time last year.
Drivers are paying an average of $47 for a full 15-gallon tank of gas, a discount of about $10 from 2024’s highest price last July. Last week, Metro Detroit’s average daily gas price decreased, according to AAA. Metro Detroit’s current average is $3.26 per gallon, about 5 cents less than last week’s average and 7 cents less than this same time last year.
“Drivers across Michigan are seeing lower prices at the pump,” said Adrienne Woodland, spokesperson, AAA-The Auto Club Group, in a news release sent to 6 News. “If demand continues to fall, gas prices may drop further.”
