Multiple people were hurt in a shooting Saturday night at Lincoln University in Pennsylvania, according to authorities.
“The Chester County District Attorney’s Office is aware of a shooting with multiple victims that occurred at Lincoln University this evening,” the Chester County District Attorney said in a statement on social media. “Law enforcement has responded to the scene and are actively investigating.”
There was no immediate word on the exact number of people injured, the nature of their injuries or any information about a suspect or suspects in the shooting.

The shooting came during the university’s homecoming weekend.
Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro said he was briefed on the shooting and offered his support to the university.
Lincoln University, a historically Black university, is located in the southeastern part of Pennsylvania.
