MUNICH (Reuters) -Both runways at Munich airport were closed on Friday evening for the second time in less than 24 hours, with the captain on an aircraft whose departure was cancelled telling passengers that drones had once again been sighted.
The captain on the London flight told passengers that police helicopters were airborne and it was unclear if the flight would take place on Friday evening.
A spokesperson for airport police said both of Munich’s two runways were closed but the reason for the closure was not yet clear.
