Tetracore Energy Group Limited has unveiled a Compressed Natural Gas facility in Ogbere, along the Benin-Sagamu Expressway, Ogun State.

With the new CNG facility, the company said it increased its daily delivery capacity to 6.2 million standard cubic feet per day.

According to a statement by Tetracore on Saturday, the development marked a milestone in Nigeria’s clean energy journey and supports the Federal Government’s ongoing Presidential Compressed Natural Gas Initiative spearheaded by President Bola Tinubu.

The statement signed by the Programmes Executive at Tetracore Energy Group, Oladayo Williams, disclosed that the CNG Phase II facility is designed to serve a wide array of clients, including industries, power plants, and auto-gas vehicles across the south.

Oladayo said the newly inaugurated facility built on the success of the 3.1 MMscfd Phase I facility launched in June 2024 effectively doubles Tetracore’s capacity to meet the country’s growing demand for reliable and cleaner energy alternatives.

He explained that the expanded CNG infrastructure features a fully integrated energy delivery system, including state-of-the-art Mobile Refilling Units that ensure seamless distribution.

“This upgrade positions Tetracore to supply large commercial offtakers such as AYM Shafa, Optimal Energy, Pi-CNG Buses, and Dangote Cement, with whom Tetracore has entered into a strategic agreement to deliver 400,000 standard cubic metres of CNG to power its logistics fleet,” Oladayo stated.

He further described the event as a reaffirmation of the company’s core mission, saying, “The commissioning of Phase II reflects Tetracore’s unwavering commitment to providing clean, cost-effective, and reliable energy solutions. This facility strengthens our ability to support Nigeria’s industries, transport sector, and power needs, while contributing to broader economic growth.”

He added that the new facility is equipped with advanced safety systems, including automated leak detection, round-the-clock pressure monitoring, and internationally certified QHSE protocols.
