The Alumni Association of Olabisi Onabanjo University (formerly Ogun State University), Ago-Iwoye, has elected a new set of leaders to pilot its affairs for the next two years.
According to a statement made available to Sunday PUNCH, the 12-man new executive members were elected at the 4th Annual General Meeting of the association held last Sunday.
In her address at the meeting, the outgoing president of the association, Mrs Funmilayo Olotu, expressed appreciation to the members for their cooperation and support during her tenure.
She recalled some of the challenges and achievements recorded by her team, and called on members not to relent in keeping the flame of the association burning.
Olotu said the association, built a eight-Room comfort-facility tagged “Legacy Project” to mark 40 years of founding the university and matriculation of pioneer set.
She said the alumni body also held its first global reunion and awards to bring together members across the globe and honour outstanding pioneers in various fields of endeavour.
