Ohio University Chillicothe is inviting the community to participate in its Community Education Workshop Series.
The non-credit workshops offer hands-on experiences, allowing participants to learn new skills, explore creativity and discover new hobbies, according to a community announcement.

The series includes stand-up comedy with Lori Graves, grant writing with Kim Jones, DIY skincare products with Adrienne Russell, acrylic painting with Stuart Beverly and line dancing with Patricia Slade. The workshops are open to the public and all ages are welcome unless otherwise noted.
Graves, a local comedian, will reprise her popular Beginning Comedy workshop, which prepares aspiring comics to perform a three to five-minute comedy set at a performance that concludes the workshop.
“I love teaching the beginning comedy workshop at Ohio University Chillicothe because it allows me to share my experience working in the comedy industry,” Graves said in the announcement. “Watching someone overcome their self-doubt and find confidence in making others laugh is incredibly rewarding.”
Whether you want to hone your skills at comedy, painting, making skincare products or even grant writing, you can find something to fit your interests at Ohio University Chillicothe.
You can find the workshop schedule, register or submit a workshop suggestion at ohio.edu/chillicothe.
