The Ondo State Government on Tuesday paid an unscheduled visit to the construction site of the ultra-modern judiciary complex being handled by Westfield Global Construction Ltd.

The project, according to the State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, will be named after his former boss and late Governor Rotimi Akeredolu.

The Tuesday inspection visit was led by the State Commissioner for Infrastructure, Lands, and Housing, Engr. Ayorinde Olawoye, the ministry’s Permanent Secretary, and a host of other top officials, all expressed the government’s satisfaction with the level of work done by the contractor.

Applauding that so far, there was neither a case of building collapse, nor a structural failure, the Commissioner, while addressing the newsmen, affirmed that all necessary tests (cube test, integrity test, etc.) have been conducted.

He said the governor was happy that the consultant and supervisory ministry were consistently on the ground to monitor progress, adding that, “I must say that I am impressed with the quality of work being delivered for our State”.

While addressing the contractor, he instructed the company to increase the pace of work by engaging more workforce, stressing that the Governor was desirous of inaugurating the project for the timely dispensation of Justice and better welfare of the judicial officers.

The commissioner admonished the Westfield Global Construction team, including Engr Raheem Opeyemi, Bldr Olanipekun O.A., Abdulmalik Bello, Lukman Lawal, Quyum Bakare, Taiwo Jelil, and Quadri Omidiji, to ensure more efforts are put in place for the timely completion of the project, which he remarked was so “dear to His Excellency”.

It would be recalled that on May 24, 2025,  Aiyedatiwa commended Westfield Global Construction Ltd on this same Ondo Judiciary Complex Project.

During his unscheduled inspection visit to the project site about three months ago, the Governor said, “I am happy with how the project is going. From what I have seen today, the work is going very fast with high quality, and this is an indication that the project will be completed as planned.”

The new Judiciary Complex, named after former governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, will feature modern facilities, including a ceremonial court, modular courts, a registry, a library, exhibition buildings, a utility building, and parking facilities.

In expressing his profound satisfaction with the quality and progress of work on the new State Judiciary Complex in Akure, the Governor said the project, being handled by Westfield Global Construction Ltd, is a testament to the company’s commitment to delivering exceptional infrastructure.

Aiyedatiwa commended Westfield Global Construction Ltd for adhering to the timeline and delivering high-quality work.

He said, “I am happy with how the project is going. From what I have seen today, the work is going very fast with high quality, and this is an indication that the project will be completed as planned.”

The governor said the complex will provide a conducive environment for the administration of justice and speed up the dispensation of justice in the state.

The Founder of Westfield Global Construction Ltd, Abdulwasiu Adebisi, expressed his gratitude to Aiyedatiwa for his commitment to good governance and infrastructure development in Ondo State.

Abdulwasiu Adebisi remarked, “I appreciate Governor Aiyedatiwa’s leadership, which has enabled us to work efficiently and effectively towards completing this project.

“We assure the Governor that we will continue to work diligently to deliver the project on schedule,” Adebisi said.

Westfield Global Construction Ltd’s dedication to delivering high-quality work on this project has earned them recognition and praise from the state government, further solidifying their reputation as a leading construction company in Nigeria.
