Chaos erupted across Massachusetts this weekend as reckless street takeovers spiraled into violence, leaving damaged cop cars, arrests flying left and right, and officers hanging by a thread. Cops reported at least four wild scenes from Boston to Middleborough and Randolph, where massive crowds shut down roads for illegal drag races and dangerous stunts—total mayhem.

Boston exploded into one of the worst clashes when a cruiser got pelted with fireworks before going up in flames early Sunday. Prosecutors claim over a hundred people swarmed the car, lobbing debris as fire engulfed it. Miraculously, the officer inside made it out alive thanks to backup who pulled Tasers and even drew their guns to beat back the mob.

Two Rhode Island teens, 18-year-old Julian Bowers from Cumberland and 19-year-old William Cantwell of Warwick, got nabbed and hauled into court Monday. Bowers walked free on $500 bail, but Cantwell’s still sitting behind bars with a $1,000 bond hanging over his head.

Meanwhile, in Middleborough, about 50 cars showed up late Saturday night in a shopping plaza parking lot. Troppers say some idiot in a Connecticut-tagged Dodge Charger took a swing at an officer before bolting onto I-495. The chase got scrapped once the driver crossed into Rhode Island.

Randolph had its own mess—another huge mob rolling up early Sunday. Masked clowns launched fireworks at a squad car, bashed it with whatever was handy, then literally climbed on the hood while filming the whole disaster.

Mayor Michelle Wu didn’t hold back, slamming the outsiders who dragged this “dangerous behavior” into the city. Suffolk County DA Kevin Hayden called the chaos outright attacks on cops and the community, promising to throw the book at everyone involved.

Troopers say all cases are still live wires, with investigations spread across multiple agencies trying to track down every last troublemaker.
