What are āNo Kingsā protests?
The protestās organizer, Indivisible,Ā originally plannedĀ the June 14 demonstration as a ānationwide day of defianceā in response to theĀ $40 million military paradeĀ President Donald Trump orchestrated on his birthday.
The movement preaches the idea that āAmerica has No Kings,ā and says, āNow, President Trump has doubled down,ā referencing the recent actions of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers, healthcare cuts and more.
āThe president thinks his rule is absolute,ā the site says. āBut in America, we donāt have kings and we wonāt back down against chaos, corruption and cruelty.ā
