Rapper T-Hood, a rising figure in Atlanta’s underground Hip-Hop scene, was shot and killed at his residence in unincorporated Snellville, Georgia, on Friday (Aug. 8). According to TMZ, Gwinnett County police responded to reports of a dispute that escalated into gunfire.
Officers arrived at the scene and provided emergency medical care before T-Hood, born Tevin Hood, was transported to a nearby hospital. He later succumbed to his injuries.
According to authorities, one person has been detained in connection with the shooting and is currently being interviewed by police. No charges have been announced at this time, and the investigation remains ongoing.

T-Hood’s mother, Yulanda, confirmed the tragic news and also addressed speculation surrounding the incident. She also firmly dispelled rumors that the shooting happened during a social gathering.
Police have not released the identity of the individual being questioned or disclosed the nature of the dispute that led to the shooting.
T-Hood made waves in the Atlanta music scene with energetic, bass-heavy tracks like “READY 2 GO,” “Big Booty,” and “Perculator.”
His unique voice and persona gave him a distinct presence among fans and peers. Though unsigned by a major label, T-Hood had built a loyal following and was praised for his authenticity and work ethic.
As investigators work to piece together the events that led to his death, fans and loved ones are left mourning the sudden loss of a young artist with promise. More details are expected to emerge in the coming days as police continue their investigation.
