The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria has urged air travellers to check which airport agency and stakeholders are responsible for any issues before reporting such problems.
In an advisory graphic by the Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, Mrs Obiageli Orah, and posted on the Authority’s social media channels on Sunday, FAAN said knowing the agencies will speed up solutions and improve service.
It further reminded the public that while the authority builds and maintains airport infrastructure and manages safety and security, airports operate through a team of agencies and private partners.
The advisory lists the following key agencies under the Ministry of Aviation that passengers should consider approaching when raising concerns:
Airline Operators.
Business owners—concessionaires.
Ground Handlers & Service Providers.
Security Agencies.
FAAN said passengers who identify the right agency when reporting delays, lost baggage, commercial disputes, or security concerns are more likely to receive timely responses than those who report generally.
The authority also encouraged travellers to use official government and airline channels for complaints and inquiries to avoid delays and misinformation.
“Next time an issue comes up, always check which agency or stakeholder is responsible—it helps you get faster solutions and better service!,” FAAN said.
