Oregon’s hot weather has sparked new flames across the state.
Here’s a look at the newest fires burning in Oregon.
Scenic Fire grows to 83 acres, could bring delay on Highway 230 on Upper Rogue River
The 83-acre Scenic Fire is burning along the Upper Rogue River and could bring delays to Highway 230 north of Union Creek and south of Diamond Lake.
The fire was first reported Aug. 12 and has grown slowly in a popular recreation corridor within Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest, although no homes are threatened.
The fire was burning near National Creek and was 5% contained as of Aug. 13.

Fire crews are working the blaze “to establish line and hose lays along the west flank of the fire,” but given the hot and dry weather, “fire activity remained high overnight, with spot fires up to a half mile east of the fire. Dozers are working to construct line in challenging terrain with dense vegetation and very soft ground,” an Aug. 13 report said.
“Expect travel delays and smoke impacts along Highway 230 and watch for fire crews working in the area,” the report added.
Red Flag warnings for central and southern Oregon
Much of central and southern Oregon had red flag warnings in effect from noon to 9 p.m. on Aug. 13.
Breezy winds with low relative humidity will approach across south central to northeast Oregon.
Duff Fire grows to 247 acres in Umatilla County
The Duff Fire burning in Umatilla County on the Umatilla Indian Reservation had burned 248 acres as of Aug. 13.
The fire, which began burning between Cayuse and Thornhollow, east of Mission, sparked on Aug. 11.
As of Aug. 11, there are no threats to people, according to a Facebook post from the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Reservation.
Scholfield Ridge Fire reaches 50 acres in Douglas County
The Scholfield Ridge Fire burning in Douglas County was estimated at 50 acres with minimal overnight growth as of Aug. 13, according to a Facebook post from Coos Forest Patrol.
Fire personnel are working to slow the fire’s progress and put in containment lines, the post said.

The fire was first reported on Aug. 12, burning in the 4600 block of Scholfield Road in Reedsport. Currently, no homes are threatened and there are no evacuation orders in place at this time.
Vee Lakes Fire in Lake County burns 107 acres
The Vee Lakes Fire burning in Lake County held at 107 acres with no new fire growth as of Aug. 13.
The fire was first reported on Aug. 10, burning northeast of Tague Butte and southeast of Valley Falls.
Fire crews were preparing for another dry and windy day. There are currently no road closures.
