The Sokoto State Government has announced that its recruitment exercise for graduates will commence on Monday, September 22, and run until October 6, 2025.

In a statement released on Saturday, the Secretary of the Recruitment Committee, Gandi Muhammad, said the process was aimed at providing employment opportunities for qualified indigenes of the state.

According to him, interested applicants are expected to obtain forms free of charge from their local governments of origin before completing the application process online at the official portal: https://employment.sokotostate.gov.ng.

Muhammad explained that candidates must register with valid email addresses and phone numbers, fill in their biodata, and upload required documents such as educational certificates, proof of indigene, birth certificate, and National Identification Number.

He said applicants will also be required to snap their photographs while completing the form online.

He stressed that the exercise is free of charge and warned against multiple submissions, which could lead to disqualification.

“Shortlisted applicants will be notified through their registered email or via the portal.

“Any further tests or screening will be communicated officially.

“All applications must be completed between 22nd September and 6th October, 2025,” the statement added.

The committee urged applicants to ensure stable internet connection during registration and cautioned residents not to pay anyone for the recruitment.

PUNCH Online had reported that Governor Ahmed Aliyu recently approved the constitution of a committee to oversee the recruitment of qualified indigenes into the state civil service.

The governor said the exercise was part of efforts to recruit 3,000 new workers across all 23 local government areas to curb unemployment and strengthen key sectors.

Aliyu noted that the initiative was designed to give opportunities to qualified young people, especially unemployed graduates with NCE, HND, or degree qualifications.
